At the end of 2021 Rinuwat released their album Dua Naga. The music was challenging. It harmonised the sounds of modern metal with the scales and rhythms of traditional Indonesian music and instruments. The result is powerful and emotional.
Vocalist Karina Utomo and percussionist Rama Parwata from Rinuwat explain to Sri Dean the challenges and joys in making their unique music, how it affected them personally and why the title of Dua Naga represents the balance they sought to achieve.
