Rift emerges on Coalition over government jobs summit

The Federal Opposition Leader said his party would boycott a jobs summit aimed at tackling chronic worker shortages, and called it simply a stunt from the Labor Party.


The summit to be attended by 100 industry and union representatives is a key commitment of the Albanese government, which was set up to combat the current crippling shortage of workers.

Last month the Coalition party's Treasury spokesman Angus Taylor demanded it be included in the summit but it has now changed its mind. But now pe, the lead of the Liberal Party refused to join the summit... while the leader of the Nationals party wanted to follow that summit.
