Leaders and politicians involved in the inquiry which analysed the rise of extremism during the pandemic have revealed they have faced threats, including several witnesses who gave evidence.


The inquiry began six months ago and investigates why right-wingers are rising in Victoria.

But the findings suggest that extremism is a global and complex problem with no easy solutions.

That inquiry report identified an alarming trend whereby neo-Nazism was an increasing threat.

There is also a risk of violent extremism against politicians and public figures.
