The newly elected New South Wales government is moving quickly to fulfil an election promise, banning the use of hp in public high schools from later this year. Similar bans are already in place in primary schools in several states, as well as in every Australian jurisdiction except Queensland and Tasmania.
The newly elected New South Wales government is moving quickly to fulfil an election promise, banning the use of hp in public high schools from later this year. Similar bans are already in place in primary schools in several states, as well as in every Australian jurisdiction except Queensland and Tasmania.
More than 320,000 students in NSW state public high schools will be restricted to their hp use in schoolyards starting in semester four.
Globally, there are trials and bans in several countries. Research from Spain and England showed a positive impact on students' well-being, legislation was reduced and even educational outcomes improved.
