The Liem Heritage Museum is a neglected building over 200 years old which was subsequently regarded as ‘bats huse’, finally opened to public after about seven years of restoration.


Udaya Halim is the fonder and current President of PERTIWI (Chinese-Indonesian Association in Australia) and founder of Indonesian Chinese Heritage Museum. He is devoted to the restoration, preservation, transmission and promotion of Chinese-Indonesian heritage and culture. Liem Heritage Museum in Rembang, Cntral Java is his latest restoration and preservation program.
To SBS Indonesian Udaya Halim recounting the process of procuring the site and the restoration of Liem Heritage Museum. After seven year of hardwork and due diligent the museum was opened to the public on the 11th of Nov 2023.

He explained the significant of this kind of program.
