COVID-19 restrictions are constantly changing in regional New South Wales and resulted in almost no commercial flights to the region while demand for medical transport has skyrocketed.
The lockdown caused flights to the interior to be canceled at the last minute, and it has put a strain on commercial airlines, and health care systems in remote areas.
The non-profit charity Little Wings, which provides free flights to sick children to and from the state's major cities, should step up its services.
Volunteers, commercially licensed pilots and drivers work around the clock driving families to and from the city, to help alleviate this regional health gap.
