Myalgic Encephalomyelitis Chronic Fatigue Syndrome is a disease that affects more than 250,000 Australians, with recent research revealing 75 per cent of those people are women. However, for many people who suffer from this condition, it is difficult to explain to others why their fatigue is so much greater than average fatigue.

All basic activities such as getting out of bed, walking around and even taking calls are something that is very tiring for sufferers of Myalgic encephalomyelitis.

M-E, better known as Chronic Fatigue Syndrome
[C-F-S], is a complicated disorder characterized by extreme fatigue that lasts for at least six months and cannot be fully explained by an underlying medical condition.

Fatigue worsens with physical or mental activity, but does not improve with rest.

25 percent of people with the condition are so affected that they have to stay at home or in bed.
