It was recorded that the Great Barrier Reef suffered considerable coral loss of up to 72 per cent as a result of extensive bleaching and natural disasters last summer.
The loss of coral reefs is a reality experienced by the world's largest coral reef ecosystem known as the Great Barrier Reef.
According to a report from the Australian Institute of Marine Science further bleaching has been spotted, mainly caused by heat stress due to climate change - and the impact of last summer's tropical cyclones Kirrilly and Jasper.
