The Indonesian government has launched and rolled out the granting of Global Citizenship of Indonesia visas intended for descendants or former WNI (XWNI).
The visa is aimed at staying longer and enjoying time in Indonesia, including the possibility of retirement in the future.
One of the recipients was Mr. Adam Tedja, who shared his experience in a brief interview.
Mr. Adam's main motivation was the ease of entry into Indonesia without having to continue using a visa on arrival, not to work or open a business.

Mr. Adam applied for this visa because he had long wanted to have a more permanent residence permit to make it easier to go back and forth to Indonesia, given that he often visits and still has family and many friends there.
Information about this visa he obtained from the socialization of KJRI, the Indonesian Diaspora Network, as well as his colleagues.
The registration process is done online through Indonesia's official immigration website with fairly complete document requirements, such as old passport, birth certificate, name change document, family card, and financial proof.
The cost of an E32E visa is approximately IDR 34 million. Although it was delayed due to the Christmas and New Year holidays, the process was classified as fast: after an interview via Zoom on Friday and the visa was approved on Monday morning.
He rated the socialization and support from KJRI and the Directorate General of Immigration very good and suggested this visa for XWNI who want to make it easier to return to Indonesia without the need for work.
