A new study of light exposure patterns reveals that increasing light exposure during the day and reducing it at night has been shown to make us less susceptible to mental illness.


Light affects our mental health.

A new study conducted by the Institute for Brain and Mental Health at Monash University shows that increased exposure to artificial light at night increases a person's risk of developing a psychiatric disorder.

The study also found that increased sun exposure may reduce the risk of psychosis.
