Politicians are putting on safety jackets? Campaigning for the federal election must have begun

It appears there will not be an election this year but campaigning is under way. The Prime Minister has warned voters about the possible impact on interest rates and prices if they vote for the ALP and Clive Palmer has been bombarding both traditional and social media with election advertising. So when will the election happen?


Dr Richard Chauvel is an Honorary Fellow with the Asia Institute at the University of Melbourne.  Harry Darmawan is from the Center for Australian Studies at the National University in Jakarta.  They discuss with Sri Dean possible key election issues and how Indonesia views the election.
