Nika Suwarsih, who among other positions is also President of PERWIRA, ambassador for the Electoral Commission and project officer and cultural coordinator from the Victorian Immigrant Refugee Womens’ Coalition, talks about her volunteer work as Coordinator of the Indonesian Women’s Friendship Network, an organisation that has helped so many Indonesian migrant women adapt to life in Australia.


How is the Indonesian Women’s Friendship Network able to provide such diverse services?  What makes the Network so effective? What personal rewards do people get from doing volunteer work?  Nika Suwarsih, talks about  the work that led to her receiving a 2018 Premier’s Volunteer Champions award.
