Now doctors want to change the law to allow women with unwanted eggs to receive compensation for donating them to infertile couples


Freezing eggs has become increasingly popular in Australia, with the number eggs in storage rising almost 30 percent in just two years.

But current estimates show less than one in five women will return to use them.

New data shows the majority of women who have their eggs frozen aren't using them to conceive a baby.

But some have concerns the process could have psychological impacts on the donor.
