In this project, Majdina explores the themes of family, friendship and culture.
This visualisation depicts a Muslim family in their living room, awaiting the time to break their fast during Ramadan.
She also incorporates several elements that demonstrate how Ramadan is experienced in various parts of the world.

Her interest in art has been ingrained since childhood when she often made school posters and designed book covers for her own short stories.
For her, art is more than just images, but a storytelling medium capable of conveying profound feelings, memories, and collective experiences through the small details of everyday life.

She feels deeply honoured to contribute to SBS, an institution that aligns with her personal values of celebrating cultural diversity in Australia.
She finds it deeply meaningful to be able to share her work with a broad audience while highlighting stories from diverse cultural backgrounds in Australia.
