Muslims are celebrating the end to this year’s Ramadhan. Undertaking the fast is a shared experience that transcends religious obligation. However, some women were not able to fast because they were menstruating, for example. Does the limitation on menstruating women from not eating and drinking during the fasting month limit them from experiencing the spirit of Ramadhan?
