Maritime security and safety and the role of seafarers are crucial to the comfort and well-being of landlubbers. So every June 25 the United Nations celebrates the International Day of the Seafarer.


Kasta Rosyada has just completed her Masters in Maritime Security at the Indonesian Defence University.  She explains to Sri Dean the most important issues that relate to maritime safety, maritime security and the welfare of seafarers in the face of the pandemic.
