The number of people forcibly displaced globally has doubled in a decade, and now exceeds a record 100-million. Compared to ten years ago, the number of intense conflicts that occurred had also doubled.


Around the world, the number of people forcibly displaced is increasing and in large numbers.
Annual report of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees' [UNHCR] shows Global Trends by the end of 2021, the number of people displaced by war, violence, persecution and human rights violations reached more than 89 million
[89.3 -million] - an annual increase of 8 percent, and more than double the figure 10 years ago.
Last May the number of displaced people worldwide exceeded 100 million.
