Indonesia is famous for its rich ethnic and cultural diversity. Part of that heritage are the many folk tales that are unique to different parts of Indonesia. It is a heritage worth preserving.


Nita Noviani from Garut who is currently studying at Tasmania University explains the importance of folk tales, her involvement in a project to collect folk tales from all over Indonesia.  She also tells a tale from her regional culture.  It is the Sundanese tale about Sangkuriang.
