Dr Reza Indragiri Amriel, psychologist and head of the Fulfilment of Child Rights section for the Indonesian Child Protection Society, talks about how tobacco companies were still an integral part of recent Children’s Day celebrations in Indonesia.


Is the number of young smokers in Indonesia on the rise?  Why is tobacco company sponsorship of children’s activities, sporting events, teenage concerts and scholarships still permitted?  Why is the problem so intractable? Dr Reza Indragiri Amriel addresses the issues.
