A number of Indonesian and Australian artists will join forces to enliven the Brunswick Music Festival in Melbourne on 8 March 2024.


Under the banner of Saudara Sound System, the artists collaboration will present a unique performance, a combination of gamelan, electronic music, experimental music and dance.

Previously, Saudara Sound System also performed at the OzAsia Festival in Adelaide.

Gamelan DanAnda member, John Cheong Holdaway, registered Brother Sound System for the Brunswick Music Festival through a pitching process - a process he also carried out last year for the Bali to Brunswick Block Party project which he said was quite successful.
