A survey conducted by Unions New South Wales found that temporary migrants have endured financial hardship during COVID-19. Eighty-seven per cent of survey respondents reported that they have problems paying their weekly expenses while 43 per cent skip meals on a regular basis.
However, there are a number of strategies people can use to deal with money problems during these difficult times and make life more bearable.
