While statelessness affects millions of people around the world, Australia also has stateless people.



Gus Kuster’s case made headlines around the world.
He was born in Papua New Guinea in and raised in Australia from the age of four.
His father was a white-Australian defence force veteran, and his grandmother on his mother’s side was a Torres Strait Islander.
