The small-sized city park provides the green space that residents desperately need amid the hustle and bustle of city life. For city dwellers, grass, trees, perhaps ponds or running water can help counter the pressures of urban life.


When you see small patches of green in the map app on your phone, they almost look like an anomaly in the urban landscape.

A lecturer in Landscape Architecture and Urban Design says that these small gardens within the city actually have a big purpose, both for the local community and for the environment.

And with more and more settlements replacing nature, it is sometimes difficult for city dwellers to find a place where they can relax, have fun, or socialize outdoors.
