Terror threat level raised from 'possible' to 'probable'

Australia's terror threat level has been raised from possible to probable for the first time in a decade.


The nation's spy agency says it's a result of a diverse range extreme ideologies and the increase of politically motivated violence.

Australia's domestic spy agency has raised the official terror alert threat level from "possible" to "probable".

It was last at that level in 2014, then downgraded in 2022.
