The charity sector faces financial difficulties

Many Australian charities will be forced to shut down due to the economic downturn caused by the corona virus pandemic.


Social justice activists say hundreds of thousands of charity work are at risk because demand for services has increased.
New research by the Australian Social Ventures advocacy group and the Center for Social Impact found 90 percent of charities now operating at a loss.
More than 200,000 jobs can be lost and one in six charities may be forced to close within six months.
