As is customary at the beginning of the year, major centres in Indonesia like Jakarta and Semarang were recently hit by floods. There must be a solution.


Prof. Dr. Irfan Budi Pramono, is an expert in forest hydrology and senior researcher at the Watershed Management Technology Centre explains why Jakarta has been unable to deal with annual floods. He also offers a solution. Can it work?
