Kuncoro Giri Waseso is the new Indonesian Consul General for Victoria and Tasmania who arrives in Melbourne at a time of difficulty caused by the pandemic. However, it is also at a time of opportunity exemplified by the IA-CEPA trade agreement. What are the new Consul-General’s priorities?


In his speech to the nation on 16 August 2021, President Joko Widodo called on Indonesians to develop the nation through innovation and openness.  Consul General Kuncoro Giri Waseso lists his priorities to Sri Dean.  He explains how the Indonesian Consulate General for Victoria and Tasmania will apply the President’s vision to realise those priorities.
