The number of arrivals from overseas has increased again since the border reopened

According to the Australian Bureau of Statistics, more than 265,000 people entered the country in January 2022, compared with about 2.2 million each month before international borders closed two years ago.


Borders are reopening and Australians have more ability to travel.

But the chief executive of the Tourism and Transport forum said there were still questions about availability, as pandemic doubts remained.
