Australia's intelligence laws are set for a major upgrade following the release of the Richardson Report. In particular, the review calls for a modernisation of Australia's electronic surveillance in some areas.


The report makes a number of suggestions to reform Australia’s intelligence and security laws including a new Electronic Surveillance Act. What are other changes are proposed and why?
