The 2022 AFL Grand Final between the Geelong Cats and Sydney Swans will begin at 2.30pm (AEST) on Saturday September 24 at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. It is the first Grand Final back at Melbourne’s MCG since 2019.


Dr Nasha Bafen is senior lecturer and the postgraduate media and communications coordinator at LaTrobe University. Yeni Karlina is a member of the Krakatoas footy club. They talk to Sri Dean about their assessment of the two competing teams and their prediction of the winner and why.
