The very first Australia Indonesia Institute Awards: In appreciation of passion, dedication and excellence

On 03 December the National Australia Indonesia Language Awards (NAILA) presentation ceremony was held on-line. At the same event the Australia Indonesia Institute (AII) announced the winners of the inaugural AII Awards.


Dr Greg Fealy AM is associate professor of Indonesian politics and head of the Department of Political and Social Change at the Australian National University.  He is also the Chairperson of the Australia Indonesia Institute Board.  He explains to Sri Dean the place of the AII awards as part of a strategy to revitalise the study of Indonesian language and culture.
