TEMU LAWAK has been an annual theatrical event held around Indonesian Independence Day. The production involves members of Indonesian Students Association of Victoria as writers, actors, dancers and musicians. The shows are entertaining and fun but also usually focus on a theme that celebrates Indonesian values. But this is not 2019. Melbourne is just coming out of lockdown.
Christian Hansel is the head of the PPIA Finance Departmentas well as the Association’s Project Manager. He explains to Sri Dean the theme for TEMU LAWAK 2021 and how the organisers have tried to maintain the spirit of TEMU LAWAK while revitalising the format to meet the changed circumstance.
