With its blend of the traditional and the new the show Perahu-Perahu (Boats) captivated audiences at the 2021 OzAsia Festival in Adelaide. Last week audiences in Sydney had the chance to enjoy the show. What makes Perahu-Perahu such a memorable experience?


Artist Jumaadi and composer Michael Toisuta are co-directors of Perahu-Perahu (Boats).  They explain to Sri Dean the the important themes in Perahu-Perahu and the work they did to bring images and music together to realise those themes in performance.
