The purpose of holding the Torang Pe Spring Festival in Melbourne on September 20, 2025, is not only to promote Kawanua culture but also to support the village of Palamba.


Jeffry Liando is the Chair person of World Kawanua Australia and also the Chair of the Torang Pe Spring Festival. Speaking to SBS Indonesian, Liando described the festival's offerings and the benefits attendees can expect. He also shared what his community has done to help advance one of the villages in the Kawanua area.
