Transpuan Indonesians in Tangerang and their access to the Indonesian electronic ID card

In Indonesia people need an ID card (KTP) to get things done and to access services. However, for a number of reasons transgender Indonesian women (transpuan) have been marginalised in accessing the ID card.


Recently the regency of Tangerang has been providing (electronic ID cards (eKTP ) to its transpuan citizens giving them easier access to essential facilities and services and  increasing their confidence.
