Ki Poedijono (OAM) played an extraordinary role in bringing gamelan music to the attention of all Australians. He died on January 30, 2021. How can we ever continue the work of such a pioneer?

Both Dr Helen Pausacker and Elisabeth Riharti were students under Ki Poedijono and members with him in the Melbourne Community Gamelan. They discuss Poedijono’s many artistic talents and his legacy to Australia and Indonesia and explain why his gift as a teacher was so important.
