Vivid Sydney returns from May 22 to June 13, 2026 with a family-friendly theme, where more than 80 percent of its programs can be enjoyed for free.

Vivid Sydney returns from May 22 to June 13, 2026 with a family-friendly theme, where more than 80 percent of its programs can be enjoyed for free.


Highlights of the year include the Cristal Palace aerial acrobatics show at the Opera House Forecourt as well as the 6.5 kilometre Vivid Light Walk which is now fully accessible for strollers from 6pm.

In addition to the light and laser installations at Cockle Bay, children can also enjoy entertainment at Tumbalong Kids every Saturday afternoon or watch the record-breaking Star-Bound drone show at Darling Harbour.

Meanwhile, a paid immersive experience called Wonderverse is available at the National Maritime Museum exclusively for children, confirming the New South Wales Government's commitment to making the festival a centre for family remembrance as well as a local economic driver.
