The crisis surrounding the spread of Coronavirus is worsening, with Austria, Switzerland, mainland Spain, Brazil and Algeria all reporting their first cases of the disease.


Australians are being urged to exercise a “high degree of caution” if planning to travel to northern Italy as the country battles a large coronavirus outbreak.

The warnings come as the Australian government activates its emergency response plan for dealing with a potential pandemic.
