In an increasingly connected world, many Indonesian students are choosing to pursue their education in Australia. What factors influence their decision-making when choosing a program?

Trachelle Manuhutu is an international student from Surabaya currently in her second year at Western Sydney University (WSU). She is pursuing a Bachelor of Business degree, with her first year done at the university's campus in Indonesia.

"Here, it's more lecture-based, with lectures and tutorials, whereas in Indonesia, there are more tutorials," said Trachelle, explaining how the learning methods at the two locations differ.

Dina Indrasafitri is also a new student at WSU. The SBS Indonesian contributor has just started her Master's program in psychotherapy and counselling. A local student, Dina explained that there were several factors she considered when choosing her studies and where to study.
