The pandemic has hit many international students, refugees and working holiday visa holders very hard. But, in the Indonesian spirit of volunteerism and working together, the Kasih Project has been helping feed the hungry.
The Kasih Project team of volunteers and supporters has been delivering food packages across Melbourne to those in need. Ningsih Millane (Mama Ning) is a teacher of Indonesian, the founder of Sanggar Lestari and a volunteer for the Kasih Project. She came up with a simple but effective idea for raising funds to support the Kasih Project’s work.
