Why is there concern regarding the World Wolbachia Program?


Even though the use of wolbachia bacteria to suppress dengue fever is generally guaranteed to be safe. Epidemiologist Dr. Dicky Budiman, a Global Health Security researcher who is also a visiting lecturer at several universities in Indonesia, explained that Wolbachia is a bacteria that is safe for humans and the environment.
