Australia's internet speeds are among the slowest in the world and the Labor party wants to make it an election issue.
Australia has been ranked 59th in the world for average broadband speed and in 32nd place out of the 37 countries in the OECD (Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development).
Labor's promising to spend $2.4 billion if it wins government to upgrade the National Broadband Network, giving 1.5 million homes and businesses access to higher speed internet.
