Will the Federal Budget for cheap housing fund suffice the need for affordable housing?

Every night, more than 122,000 Australians are estimated to be homeless; that's one of the highest figures among OECD countries.


Recent reports show that finding affordable rental accommodation in Australia is now getting harder if you're on a low income.

The Federal Government has promised 30,000 new eco-friendly and affordable homes over five years as part of the $10 billion Housing Australia Future Fund.

And $2 billion to accelerate the construction of 4,000 new social homes (Social Housing Accelerator).

But his supporters say this is not enough.
