Abattoirs have a reputation for their workers being more prone to COVID-19. This is generally felt to be the result of cold temperatures, tight working spaces and dry air in the work space. But this is not always the case.


Vita Khasanah is a young Indonesian woman on a Working Holiday Visa who works on the killing floor of an abattoir in Rockhampton talks about the effectiveness of the safety protocols that she and fellow workers have to follow in the abattoir.
