Calls to create 'Dante Day', to celebrate 'the patron' of Italian language and culture

The proposal to create 'Dante Day' - a day to commemorate Dante Alighieri as an important figure underpinning Italian language and culture - has been met positively by several Italian cultural institutions who are studying the poet.
