Aquarius: the beginning of a new phase in the Mediterranean?

Migrants and refugees on a rescue ship in the Mediterranean Sea are finally making the slow journey to Spain after being left stranded in waters between Italy and Malta since Saturday. The two countries have refused to let the ship dock, drawing condemnation from the European Union and from France separately.


We talked to Marco Bertotto, from Medici Senza Frontiere Italia, for an update on the situation aboard the Aquarius.
