He arrived in Cairns seven years ago without speaking a word of English - which, in hindsight, considers a serious mistake. After studying English and horticulture at TAFE, he managed to get a sponsorship working in a nursery and now lives with his wife and a son in a rural area near Gladstone, Queensland.
