The visit to Australia of Chinese Premier Li Keqiang is underway. He is the most senior representative of the Chinese government to visit Australia since 2014. Various discussion topics are on the table, with China set to become the new champion of global free trade, its ambitions of leadership in the Pacific and, on the background, the new global geopolitical context with the new America of Donald Trump.
