When it comes to Opera, the Mariinsky theatre is like a war machine.


Italian revival director and choreographer Barbara Staffolani talks about her fascinating and exciting experience in St. Petersburg where she worked on Verdi's "Vespri Sicliani". French stage director Arnaud Bernard transposed the setting of the opera from the 13th century Sicily to New York of the 1920s under the dominance of mafia boss Lucky Luciano.
