Museo Italiano hosts a special talk by Dr Celestina Sagazio, dedicated to the history of this area of Melbourne where many Italian migrants spent their first years down under, leaving a legacy which is still visible today.


Dr Celestina Sagazio is Historian and Manager of Cultural Heritage of the Southern Metropolitan Cemeteries Trust, which manages Melbourne General Cemetery. In this interview in English she gives us a preview of her talk about "Significant sites in Carlton and Melbourne General Cemetery".

"Italian Carlton: significant sites in Carlton and Melbourne General Cemetery" will take place on 12 June. The presentation explores the rich Italian heritage in iconic ‘Little Italy’ and Carlton’s cemetery.
